On Monday, Chad and I snuck out of work during lunch and finally went to the top of the Empire State Building. We've been meaning to get up there for a while now but whenever opportunity presented itself, something usually came up. But on Monday, the weather was fine (albeit a little hazy), our golden window was reopened yet again. We seized upon our fortune and took the long elevator ride(all of 55 seconds) to the highest point in New York City.

The view from up there is literally awe-inspiring. I think the last time I stood at the top of the ESB may have been when I was an elementary school student in Queens. For those that don't know my age, that is a quite many eons ago. And it's a shame really. Considering that we work a mere three blocks from the ESB, it's kind of sad that we're too lazy to make this trip more often.
