I had visitors in town last week again. Two of my friends (although they're not friends with each another) - Don Giovanni and Roberto Cackapolli - are visiting me once again from Italy. Surprisingly, both these guys hail from Firenze, Italia yet they don't like one another or have anything in common.

I took the two Eye-talians to Luna Park in Union Square Park. It was a nice day out and we were quite thirsty. What began as an innocent day in the park, wound up turning into a delirious grappa and vodka filled fest. They made me drink their national spirit and vice versa.

When a tango-type song came on the bar's stereo, Don Giovanni (the one with the Gucci sunglasses - tres chic) began to dance. Unfortunately, he danced for Roberto Cackapolli. It was a sight for nonbelievers indeed. I think I speak for most New Yorkers here when I say I look forward to the day that Don G takes his act back to Firenze. Regrettably, this won't be for another week or so. Oh well.
